Training and Information Sessions 2012

Following the success of the IRBA information sessions over the past several years, we are pleased to inform you that the next road show will be taking place in August and September 2012.

 

You are invited to attend one of the information sessions that will be hosted throughout the country by myself and the IRBA directors. The sessions will comprise a broad overview of developments and changes in the profession as they affect you, the Registered Auditor, including:

 

  • Latest on the Companies Act
  • Amendments to the Auditing Profession Act
  • European Union Green paper
  • B-BBEE
  • New delivery model
  • Funding model

Cost

The IRBA is well aware of the economic pressures that many businesses are experiencing due to the current economic downturn. However, we also believe that these sessions are most beneficial both to Registered Auditors and to us. To this end, we have taken a conscious decision to keep the cost of these as low as possible, namely R505 per delegate.

 

Continuing Professional Development

Attendees will receive a certificate for 3½ hours of Continuing Professional Development.

Terms and conditions

  1. Payment
    1. Bookings close six working days prior to the session date.
    2. Should you not receive your tax invoice timeously please e-mail This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
    3. Delegates are required to make payments in advance and to submit proof of payment to the email address as stated on the invoice no later than five working days prior to the session date.
    4. Delegates enrolled within less than 7 working days prior to the session date will be requested to produce proof of payment on the day of the session.
    5. The IRBA's liability in the event of having to cancel a session will be limited to a refund of the session fee.
  2. Substitutions
    1. You may arrange to send a substitute to attend the same session that you had booked for.
    2. Only written notification of substitutions will be accepted.
    3. Kindly advise the IRBA in writing of the substitute attendee at least 48 hours before the session.
  3. Transfers
    1. The IRBA must be informed in writing of requests to transfer your booking to a different date / venue.

    3. Telephonic notification will not be accepted.
  4. Cancellations

    2. Telephonic cancellations will not be accepted under any circumstances.
    3. Cancellations received less than 5 working days prior to the commencement of the session will be subject to the full fee, i.e. no refund will be made.
